Our Research

Research Programs

The Masonic Cancer Center does research in special areas—what we call our research programs—that bring together scientists from different fields to learn about things that affect and cause cancer. These research areas are grouped based on certain scientific ideas that show progress in understanding cancer. They help scientists from different disciplines work together to answer specific questions about cancer in various parts of the body.

Translational Working Groups

The Translational Working Groups (TWGs) are a mechanism to foster inter-programmatic and translational research to promote new discoveries. TWGs organize MCC members from various research programs into groups designed to address site-specific cancers, foster collaborations, and provide the necessary scientific and clinical expertise to improve outcomes for the specific disease sites.
