Schelomo Marmor, PhD, MPH, is a Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Affiliate Faculty at the Institute for Health Informatics and the University of Minnesota Life Course Center, and Associate Director of the Center for Learning Health System Sciences, where he leads real-world data strategy for the Whole Person Health and Outcomes Data initiative. Dr. Marmor is a health services researcher and data scientist whose work centers on the analysis of large, complex administrative and clinical datasets, including electronic health records, Medicare claims, and national cancer registries, to generate actionable evidence on cancer care delivery, quality, and outcomes. His research illuminates how care is delivered, where it falls short, and what system-level factors drive variation in outcomes, informing quality improvement initiatives and health policy for providers and health systems. Dr. Marmor serves as Associate Director for Data Sciences at the Masonic Cancer Center, where he advances the Center's data infrastructure and analytical capabilities, including real-world data harmonization and electronic health record integration, to support its research mission and improve cancer outcomes across Minnesota and beyond. His work has been funded by the National Cancer Institute, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, among others.
