Kiara Ellis, MSW joined Masonic Cancer Center in January of 2016 to support the Associate Directors for Community Outreach and Engagement and the Associate Director of Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination. She brings over 10 years of community organizing, nonprofit management experience, and educational initiative development experience.

She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science and a Masters in Social Work: Community Practice at the University of Minnesota. She has served as Co-Chair of the Minnesota Cancer Alliance’s Cancer Health Equity Network since 2016, where she is able to convene and support a network of over 100 organizations statewide to address cancer equity initiatives under the state cancer plan. Her passions lie in serving as a change agent for the community and impacting systemic change that will further cancer health equity in the state. She is the creator of the Cancer Center Community Impact Forum and strives to continue to build partnerships that help advance the work our Community Engagement & Education initiatives
