Denise Windenburg, MHA (she/her/hers) joined the Masonic Cancer Center in April, 2026 as the Director of Network Operations for the Minnesota Cancer Clinical Trial Network (MNCCTN). In this role, Denise partners with healthcare organizations across the state of Minnesota and is responsible for leading the MNCCTN Coordinating Center priorities and projects ensuring alignment with the mission, vision and goals of the network. Before joining the MNCCTN, Denise has 25 years of experience and has built her career in clinical research operations, spanning both academic medicine and independent research settings. Throughout her work, Denise has focused on strengthening the systems that make clinical research possible, ensuring studies are conducted with rigor, efficiency, and integrity, while also expanding the reach of research across institutions and communities. Her leadership reflects a commitment to collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement. Outside of work, Denise enjoys time with family, traveling, thrift shopping, backyard BBQ with friends and walking or biking around the city to enjoy the beautiful lakes and parks.
