Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting the urinary system and occurs more often in men than in women, yet many people know little about its warning signs, risk factors, or how it is diagnosed and treated. Raising awareness about bladder cancer is important to help people better understand the disease and the experiences of those impacted by it.
Join us for a special Fireside Chat in honor of Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, where we'll hear from both a clinical expert and a bladder cancer survivor.
We'll hear from Dr. Hamed Ahmadi, a urologist at the University of Minnesota, who will provide an overview of bladder cancer, including risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and some of the emerging research happening in the field.
We'll also be joined by Bukwon Holland, a bladder cancer survivor, who will share his personal story, highlighting the challenges of navigating diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. His story is a powerful reminder of the importance of awareness, support, and early detection.
