Laura Klein, MPH (she/her/hers) joined the Masonic Cancer Center in October 2022 as Research Development Manager. In this role, Laura is responsible for ensuring that the research mission of the MCC is robust and thriving. To accomplish this goal, Laura works closely with the MCC Associate Directors and MCC Science Council to establish a cohesive vision for MCC research and develops strategies to execute that vision. Laura also manages MCC’s sponsored research support infrastructure, leading MCC’s pre-award team, and serves as the center expert in research administration and development.

Before joining MCC, Laura worked in research program management in the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and at the Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute. Most recently, she served as Research Program Manager in the School of Public Health’s Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, where she was a member of the Research Support Services Team and managed the activities of two NIH Institutional Training Grants (T32s). Laura earned a bachelor of science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a master’s degree in Public Health Administration in Policy (MPH) from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Outside of work, Laura enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending quality time with her husband and 3-year old twins.
