“Back in Action”
After a brief hiatus, we are happy to announce that we’ll be returning the original format of the RED Oral Presentation Clinics (formerly knowns as RED Seminars), wherein we work with two different, real, live scientists and their presentations in order to show how to apply specific skills and techniques to improve their connection with the
audience.
Aside from working directly with coaches from NarrativePros, one-on-one, the best way to understand all of the science communication theory we address in these seminars is by watching others transform their presentations before your very eyes. This month, among other topics, we’ll be covering a bit of audience analysis, what to do with an accent, how to find the balance between not enough information and too much information, and some slide design.
If you might be interested in volunteering to present to the group in order to help demonstrate the practical application of any of the topics we cover, we would be delighted. So delighted, in fact, that you’d be rewarded with a free hour of one-on-one coaching worth more than an annual subscription to Scientific American and only slightly less than an annual subscription Scientific American Unlimited. Please contact brian@narrativepros.com with questions or to offer your service.
