Fireside Chats

The Fireside Chats with the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement are free monthly sessions intended to educate community audiences on cancer, research, and health-related topics presented by experts in easy-to-understand language followed by a discussion that allows for community members to engage in casual conversations with experts from the University and/or the local community with a moderator.

Join us for a Fireside Chat on gynecologic cancers in honor of National Women's Health Awareness Month with Dr. Jordan Mattson, gynecologic oncologist at the University of Minnesota. This Fireside Chat will cover an array of topics, including the various types of gynecologic cancers, common symptoms, current options for screening and detection, and the latest treatment strategies. In addition, we'll delve into the importance of diversity in clinical trials and its impact on the efficacy of treatments for gynecologic cancers.
