Clinical Trials Day: Data Processing & Management

Clinicals Trials Day is May 20, 2020, and we are celebrating all roles in research teams this week! Today's highlight is Data Management.

Clinical trials collect a lot of data. That data needs to be taken, entered, and analyzed to determine the results of the study. This all comes down to data managers.

Data managers work with the principal investigator and study coordinator to determine the data that needs to be collected and tracked. The data manager then collects and enters study data. They check the data for accuracy. 

Data managers then analyze the data to form conclusions and results of the study. They write a summary of the results. During and after the study, the data manager also provides data to the necessary monitoring agencies in charge of regulation research.
