Career Development & Training Navigation Resources

Training Navigation

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) supports training navigation with a series of grants and opportunities through the Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) to enhance diversity in cancer research workforce and cancer health disparities research. A cancer career training navigator works closely with trainees to facilitate their career progression and connects them to additional cancer research career development opportunities with the goal to increase retention of diverse researchers who represent the communities we serve. The Masonic Cancer Center’s training navigation effort has a particular focus on connecting and building relationships with American Indian and Alaska Native communities through our collaboration with the Center of American Indian and Minority Health.
