My primary research interests include Nanomagnetism and Quantum Spintronics with a focus on searching, fundamentally understanding and fabricating novel magnetic materials and quantum spintronic devices. Some of research programs in my group are listed as below.

To study magnetic thin films with extremely high magnetic anisotropy, giant saturation magnetization and high spin polarization ratio and find new ways to make such materials applicable for future information, biomedical and green energy technologies.

To study magnetic nanoparticles and nanoparticle-assemblies with new properties and novel physical configurations (e.g. single-nanoparticle-based heterostructures, nanoparticle-crystals, nanoparticle-based nanocomposite) and find new ways to make such materials for biomedical magnetic sensing/imaging and magnetic hyperthermia and nanoparticle-based quantum spintronic devices.

To purse fundamental understanding of new spintronic phenomenon and design and fabricate novel spintronic devices such as spin-based memory, spin-based logic device and system and quantum computing bits and gates.

To investigate and implement magnetic- and spintronic-based personalized biomedical devices and systems.
